I noticed these days is just mostly all about technology...
It just has been few years back that I remember that not most people are technology savvy...
Most people would rather stay with conventional ways...
But the thing is that most people sometimes become too attached with the old and not wanting to adopt to the new. See there's always something good and bad with things...
I personally like technology, there are a lot of things that could be accomplished through technology, faster, more effecient and convenient... Just for instance, cellphones, its so hard to move now without it, although i know that someone could survive without it but its still not all that easy, especially for those always busy people... The internet, allows everyone to do almost anything online in whatever aspects... Allowing us to do research, chat, mailing, contract signing, proposals for whatever reason, etc. It has revolutionized what was the past... A lot of things actually, technology gives. Transportation, communication, education, governance, business, leisure, recreation, dating or flirting, and a lot more...
Like everything else that people innovated, there always has been negative and positive effects, it always has been a two faced thing...
With all these technology around, there have been a lot of convenience for us... Easier to communicate through cell, email, chat, video conference, fax, etc... We were allowed to make transfer and exchanges of files, images, videos, etc... easily... The email or the messenger services allows us to chat, exchange files, videos and images conveniently... The mobile phone has also revolutionized, from a really big back pack phone to a small but very useful device allowing us to use so much features a conventional phones from before wouldn't give us... The mobile phone is a compact of mp3, digi cam, computer, a calculator, a planner or organizer, an alarm clock, sometimes even a mirror, banking and so much more uses... The car, airplane, ships, etc... are also technological breakthroughs that gave us so much conveniences to go around almost anywhere in the world... Another technology I personally like so much other than the one's I've mentioned earlier is the air con... Really hard to live without it... Who would think during the bible times that one day, a cold environment could be made by a machine or an air conditioner... It defenitely makes things much much more convenient... Air con inside the car, at home, at school, in the office, on planes, on ships... Almost everywhere...
Other than all these mentioned, there are still a lot of technology to go around that helps almost all of us... I guess, technology is there to make things a lot more convenient for us...
But the thing is, there's the bad side to it...
Well of course, on the internet, we couldn't really control what could be accessed by certain age groups or people... Maybe unless your in China, where its really hard to access pro democracy websites.... So this could be unhealthy to some people... Another problem is the more technology there are the more resources we are gonna need coz of the demand and stuff....
Like now, with the demand for oil going so high, our supplies could or might get depleted in time, even though we know that oil is the one that cools off the core of the earth, what could happen if that gets depleted? Well a lot I guess... Not only oil, but a lot of stuff that's needed to complete production of all these technologies...
For instance, a microchip would need steel, and how many equipments consists of microchips? To answer that, almost all consists of microchip... Aircons, cars, cellphone, phones, fax machines, xerox machines, air planes, ships, refrigerator, and a lot more....
Anyways.... One major problem of technology is the people who use this, and how this makes people so DEPENDENT on it...
We all have to admit it that, most of us are getting dependent on technology... One way or another...
I felt this with the last power outage couple of months back when the super typhoon, Milenyo has hit the metro...
Almost all was out... No cellphone signal in some areas, no internet, no phonelines in some areas, and worst of all there was no ELECTRICITY!!! This has been a terrible experience for a lot of people...

Observing what has happened, there were a lot of things that has happened...
Candles being out of stock and overpriced, batteries, flashlights and other well, of course things needed for brownout out of stock... It was a real troubling experience...
It was so hot and a lot of other inconveniences...
This just shows how people get dependent to technology, sure people could survive, but with this example or maybe your own experiences of this, loosing technology at some certain point in time, how do or did you react?
In short, technology gave us a lot of postive things but together there's negative...
I wonder who could invent a technology that eradicates all the negative effects of technology and only keep the positive ones...
